The Star Hotel is without a doubt an icon to Newcastle’s local pub scene. Built in 1885 by The Cameron family, its history is as long as it is interesting and that history continues with new owners moving on in.
For those who haven't visited in a while what you discover is a sophisticated bar scene that serves up an impressive handcrafted cocktail list, along with
beer and wines together with a tasty new menu, that's ideal for an afternoon drink or long lunch.
Whilst those loose, rock n' roll days may be just a distant memory, the history of the Star will always live on. A glance at the walls reconnects you with
the Star of old and those famous riots days. But it's not all lost, because the music is back for good.
Whether you’re looking for a night out with your friends, or perhaps a romantic dinner for two then the Star Hotel makes for the perfect place to meet.
