The biggest Community Christmas Party in NewcastleSee our handpicked guides to Newcastle
In celebration of the festive season, the music-filled, family-friendly holiday event of the year is here again!
Christmas is around the corner and that means it’s slightly more acceptable to shout Michael Buble’s Christmas album at the top of your lungs without people thinking you have completely lost your mind….right!?
Join the rest of the Newcastle community in gathering beachside at Empire Park for Carols by the Beach, an evening of vibrant summer festivities. There'll be live carols to sing along to, fun activities for kids (from 6pm), a dazzling fireworks display and maybe even a visit from Santa Claus himself!
This community event has been serving Novocastrians on the Sunday before Christmas for 10 years now and is excited to do it all again in a matter of weeks! Join the community and come along to Empire Park, Merewether on Sunday, December 23.
Carols by the Beach will have all of the usual perks! Featuring local musicians, carol singing, face painting, and activities for the kids. There are also selections of delicious local market vendors and food trucks to ensure everybody gets their fill for the evening.
Not only has this local event become quite iconic to some as one big, beautiful community Christmas party by the sea. Carols by the beach is a charity event helping women & children who face domestic violence. This year, sales of glow sticks and drinks will all be going to NOVA, a local organisation that is making a difference for women and children who experience domestic violence.Bring a rug, grab some food and glow sticks at the event & enjoy a couple of hours of lively Christmas fun with your neighbours. The venue also has amenities, security and first aid onsite to make sure everything runs smoothly. It’s the time of year when we all come together…..for a fun, unforgettable community event!
