Running across the Somersby, Peats Ridge, Mangrove Mountain, Kulnura and Yarramalong areas, Harvest Festival returns for another year and once again celebrates all that is seasonal, local and extraordinarily delicious on the Central Coast.
Running over the weekend of 8th & 9th June, the festival includes a whole host of free activities, entertainment and experiences, along with ticketed outdoor food events. You'll get the chance to sit and talk with local farmers, enjoy the sights and sounds of the great outdoors with loads of foodie things to take part in.

The Pickled Pepper Cooking Workshop
Sat 8 & Sun 9 | 9 am - 4:30 pm
Where: Alison Homestead, 1 Cape Rd, Wyong Creek

Passionate about the health benefits of fermented foods? then this is the workshop for you. The Pickled Pepper want to share their knowledge of traditional preserving techniques to develop your passion and taste for fermented food. It is part demonstration and part hands-on cooking school with all participants using local produce where possible. All cooking materials, recipes, workshop books and refreshments included.

 


Glenworth Grazing Food and Wine Festival
Sat 8 & Sun 9 | 11am - 4:30pm
Where: Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventure, 69 Cooks Rd, Calga
Cost: Free entry - pay for what you purchase
Glenworth Valley will be transformed into a food and wine lover’s playground for you to indulge in the region’s best food, wine and produce. There will be live music on hand, boutique markets and family activities.
Quack Shack
Sat 8 & Sun 9 | 11am - 4pm
Where: The Springs, 1080 Peats Ridge Rd, Peats Ridge

Get along to The Quack Shack who will be offering harvest inspired wood-fire pizzas, coffees, teas, snacks and sandwiches.

 

 

Day On The Farm

Cost: Free entry - pay for what you purchase
Enjoy a free day out on a local working citrus farm. Explore the property and enjoy food stalls, live music and local produce suppliers. Plus buy your own Eastcoast Juice direct from the farm gate door.

The Glenworth Winter Feast

Gather your family and friends for the exclusive Glenworth Winter Feast Lunch. Indulge in a bush-inspired table-share menu with a focus on local produce and wine.

Edible Flower Workshop
Sat 8 & Sun 9 | 11am & 12pm
Where: Yarramalong School Community Centre, 1560 Yarramalong Rd, Yarramalong

The workshop showcases seasonal edible flowers sustainably grown in the Valley. You’ll learn how to harvest, prepare and use edible flowers, followed by tastings.

Paddock to Plate Sausage Sizzle
Sat 8 & Sun 9 | 10am - 4pm
Where: 60 Niclins Rd, Mangrove Mountain
Cost: Free entry - pay for what you purchase
Tuck into a home grown, grass fed, beef sausage sizzle looking out over paddocks and cows. Experience paddock to plate on the farm and take photos with the cows, alpacas and other farm animals. There will be something for the whole family.
