Support local creatives and makers at this pop-up arts program

The Central Coast is home to a vibrant community of artists and creatives, and Central Coast Council is spotlighting several of these talented local artists in the latest Creative Spaces program.

Toukley Village Green will provide a home for Council’s popular Gallery Container, where the Creative Spaces program will take over from September 2023 to June 2024.

During this time, three artists will spend three months each in the space, hosting workshops, exhibitions, and demonstrations.

Following the success of the first two blocks in the Gallery Container, Creative Spaces will welcome the next round of creativity with Grace Agnes Art.

Grace is a painter, photographer, and illustrator whose works are a riot of colour, pattern, and sunshine. Grace will be working her magic to create paintings, pet portraits, and photography, with workshops, installations, book readings, and mini art markets also happening at the space throughout her residency.

Council Director of Community and Recreation Services, Melanie Smith, said Council was proud to be providing such an engaging program.

“The program is now live and is vibrant and dynamic, so we encourage all community members to explore the schedule and regularly visit Creative Spaces in Toukley’s Village Green. There will also be regular updates on Love Central Coast to support the talent and creative ability of those within the community,” she said.
