Maitland Regional Art Gallery | 22 Feb - 17 May
Lucas Grogan’s bold, fastidiously patterned, highly graphic, pun-filled artworks headline Maitland Regional Art Gallery’s autumn season. This highly anticipated exhibition showcases the Artist’s multi-disciplinary practice, featuring his signature blue paintings alongside delicate embroidery, intricate quilts and murals.
Everyone is welcome to come along and watch Lucas paint an immersive mural directly onto the gallery walls from 18-20 February. Grab a coffee, bring your sketch pad, meet the artist and watch on as the mural comes to life.
Gallery Coordinator Kattie Bugeja says, ‘Having amassed an international following, Long Story Short brings together works from private and public collections from across the country. MRAG is excited to present the most significant collection of Lucas Grogan's work to date and celebrate his achievements in his home town of Maitland.’
