There's going to be an invasion of giant dinosaurs, dragons and other huge creepy crawlies in the Hunter Valley! That’s right – Mega Creatures are back at the Hunter Valley Gardens in 2024.

This year, there were giant animatronic animals to marvel at throughout the day, plus special lighting displays for the Mega Creatures Night Safari.

The ever popular dinosaurs were back this year but with a few new friends joining the ranks. The roaming T-Rex and Velociraptor roared around the gardens!

There were also some great activities to keep the kids engaged along the way, including:

• The archaeological dinosaur fossil dig
• The Gardens' collection of snakes and lizards on display
• Flying creatures from a land before time taking over the Ampitheatre.

If giant dinosaurs and dragons weren't enough, there were more Mega Creatures to be amazed by including the gigantic spider-saurus, cicada, frogs, creepy crawlies and snails more throughout the Gardens.

As the sun set, some of the Mega Creatures were illuminated with speciality lighting installed just for the event, creating a thrilling new way to experience this popular family event.
