The Hunter Valley's biggest bonfire returns in 2022!

One of the Hunter Valley's most spectacular and entertaining nights out, Burning of the Barrel, returns in 2022... and it's going to be bigger, and hotter than ever before.

Returning to Glandore Estate on Saturday 25 June, Burning of the Barrel is the bonfire of all bonfires and as the name suggests, ticket holders gather round to bear witness to a fiery inferno.

So what can you expect...

Around 75 tonnes of wood and one or two sacrificial wine barrels (empty of course) - are ignited, lighting up the night sky and heating up half the Hunter Valley. The always impressive fireworks display will of course return in 2022 and new to the line up is a fire dancing spectacular by Utopian Fire Dancers. The mesmerizing performers will bring you in-touch with the true spirit of sacred Fire Dancing which combines choreographed dance, sensual fire dancing, dynamic fire twirling, fire eating and fire breathing taking you on a magical journey filled with fire, music and dance.

"With a roaring bonfire, fabulous food and wine, Glandore Estate's annual Burning of the Barrel event is the kind of do you need to go to at least once but one you'll end up attending every year."

Best to wear your covered in shoes and whilst there are chairs and tables available we'd recommend bringing along a picnic rug to stretch out and get comfy on. If you're arriving by car, there's free onsite parking or if you're staying local on the night you can take advantage of the shuttle bus service that operates on the night from various locations in the Hunter Valley.  Tickets for this are sold separately.

If you plan on going, be sure to get your tickets early as they tend to sell out pretty fast.
