Christmas has officially launched at Erina Fair
Erina Fair has kicked off the Christmas season once again partnering with local charity Coast Shelter, who provide specialist homelessness services and personal support programs in the region, to run a huge Charity Chest toy drive in-centre to benefit those who need it most.
To launch the festive season on Tuesday 16th November a massive 4m x 4m Charity Chest was installed inviting visitors to step inside the larger-than-life installation and experience the magic of Christmas. The COVID safe event gave Children the chance to receive the first gift of Christmas, along with those all-important Christmas cookies and candy canes.
Following the launch weekend, the space has now evolved into The Community Chest; a social impact project designed to harness the power of giving during the festive season. Located on the Myer Red Carpet, the installation will provide customers, retailers, and the local community an opportunity to purchase a gift and donate it to children who are less fortunate this year.
The larger-than-life installation, dressed in a playful, pastel palette and filled will be sure to light the faces up of your little ones. Centre Manager Stephen Ross explained why the Erina Fair Toy Chest has been a big focus of their Christmas installation in 2021,
“This year has posed many challenges for families, and we believe that everyone deserves a Merry Christmas. We’re excited to be bringing back all the magic and joy of the season and support those that need it most in our local community”.
"With COVID-19 dramatically impacting many families over the past 18 months, supporting the local community has never been more important, and the Erina Fair team are inspired to drive positive change in the community."
How can you get involved?
Coast Shelter are directly looking to support children aged 12 and under on the Central Coast and have requested gifts such as sporting equipment, books, and toys. The Community Chest will commence on Monday, 16 November, and run until Monday, 29 November, during standard trading hours.
