When you walk into Marble Bar & Grill in Erina, you are met with sleek black table settings and an industrial-inspired decor that gives the place an instant atmosphere.
Owned by brothers-in-law, Freddie and Dan, this latest addition to Erina oozes a sophistication like venues you might find in Sydney, yet wooden features and exposed concrete give the space an open and relaxed feel which keeps it warm, inviting and accessible.

Chef Freddie is originally from Italy and has been working in hospitality for 15 years. He comes from a family who owned wine bars in Rome so has grown up around the social and creative aspect of sharing food as an experience.
Since moving to Gosford over 10 years ago Freddie has dedicated his career to the pursuit of good food, constantly seeking opportunities to learn and work under some of the best chefs in the area.
Having worked with Four Hands Pizza Bar, and Arc in Terrigal, Freddie has a sincere appreciation for the opportunities each gave him to experiment, create, and perfect his style. He credits Head Chef Paul of Arc (previously of The Cowrie, and now heading up Swells Terrigal) as an inspiration to keep creating.
“I’ve worked in kitchens my whole life but I didn’t always love it when I was younger. Learning from people like Paul made me fall in love with it and want to do something of my own,” he says.
Freddie and Dan were originally considering opening a burger bar on the southern end of the Coast such as Umina or Ettalong until coming across the vacant space on Karalta Road, Erina.
“We thought the Central Coast was missing a nice steakhouse and when this place came up we could see it being a bigger restaurant allowing us to create so much more.”
Freddie brings his humble and enthusiastic praise for other Central Coast chefs and suppliers into Marble Bar & Grill by collaborating with locals in the industry. The wines are supplied by Bamvino in Erina Heights who expertly pair a quality drop with Freddie’s menu and teaches all his staff about each wine. He also collaborated with Yume Japanese Erina on sourcing the highest quality meats.
The servings are generous and beautifully plated, from the chargrill on succulent King Prawns to the waltz of textures between tender gnocchi paired with sweet pumpkin, crispy salted pancetta, and pecorino foam. The steaks are the hero, however, from Angus to Wagyu to the 1kg T-bone perfected on open flame cooking techniques.
“It reminds me of Italy, it’s like I’m home. We pair it with a chianti and suddenly you feel like you are in Florence as that is how you would experience it in Italy.”
So far, the reviews are fantastic, with some feedback on the menu bringing the brothers to tears in celebration that all their hard work is paying off. Marble Bar & Grill is a place that is family-friendly, perfect for both a relaxed long lunch or a special occasion, and run by a team that encourages you to sit, stay, sip and enjoy.
The restaurant includes a VIP table with a view of the open kitchen and an outdoor courtyard perfect for happy hour with friends around a quality antipasto board. Keep your eye on Marble Bar & Grill as they continue to expand with group dining, set menus, and a custom fit-out to get their decadent dry-aged meats on display.
