Bouffant Bakery

With 3 locations on the Central Coast, you will be able to get mini delicious Portuguese tarts whenever your craving hits.   Between the namesake Bouffant pastry, the extensive selection of mini pastries, pies, sausage rolls, and their range of breads from sourdough to sliced white; Bouffant Gosford, East Gosford & Terrigal have all the bases covered for good classic bakery.

Burnt Honey Bakery

This beachside gem at Copacabana is worth the drive. Owners Hayley and Jo have created a great online functionality too so you can pre order to ensure you don’t miss out.  The ethical practices of Burnt Honey, and the quality of product being delivered, put this bakery in a league of its own and makes the signature Copa Queen and Hayley’s chiffon cakes taste even sweeter.  Remember to BYO your coffee cup if you plan to takeaway.

Salt Pig Deli

Yep, you got me – it is technically a “deli” but do not let this deter you from visiting Salt Pig Deli for your baked goods.  These unbleached 36 hour fermented sourdoughs are for the serious bread lover coming in multi-varieties.  The range of ciabatta is available in 3 classic flavours and you can have it made into a sandwich at the shop (benefits of being a deli – all sandwich fillings are cut fresh!) The classic and Almond croissants are the pastry standouts.  Be willing to get in early with Salt Pig as they do sell out!

Flour&Co. Bakery 

Tucked into Toowoon Bay you will find Flour&Co. a family bakery that has been serving us all the goodies since 1988.  With bread and pies being baked daily you are only disappointed if you miss out when they sell out!  Their range of raw/vegan goods is substantial as is the selection of classic bakery treats in the window.  

This is an all-rounder of a bakery that gives consistency and nostalgia in what you remember a Bakery being as well as being supportive of the community.

Ken’s Humble Pie Shop

You are sure to get some comfort food when visiting Ken’s Humble Pie Shop.  The vanilla slice is everything your childhood memories recall, and the lamingtons are large and classical in style.  With 29 – yes twenty-nine - pie flavours for you to choose from any day of the week, you are sure to satisfy even the most indecisive pie eater!

With specialty sweets such as Sicilian cannoli made fresh daily.  The Italian theme continues with Sicilian pork pies, Sicilian blend coffee and classic styled sourdough. The blueberry bomb pastry lives up to its name being full of flavours and their new gluten-free/vegan bread options are getting great reviews. As this is the closest any of us are getting to Italy at the moment, it does not disappoint with its European flavours.

The Fat Goose Cafe Bakery

This bakery and café combo is a top spot for a laid back breakfast or lunch and they do a great coffee to boot. On the bakery side, you’ll find hand-crafted Italian style breads, rye loaves, classic European pastries, gluten free breads and sweets, muffins, friands, savoury pies and quiches. All are baked daily in house at The Fat Goose.
