Your go-to guide of where to eat in Lovedale

Planning a big day of wine tasting and vineyard visiting in Lovedale? Well here is your go-to guide of where to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner, there's something to satisfy your hangry urges.

Leaves & Fishes

Here the atmosphere is chilled and the service and food are always amazing, no matter when you go or what you choose from the menu! Set on a sprawling 25-acre property in Lovedale, Leaves & Fishes is quite an institution. The menu has a definite Asian twist to it, like the buttermilk fried chicken tenders served with roti bread, lime, and gochujang mayo. So too, the baked half-shell Tasmanian scallops are complete with a caramelised soy, chilli, garlic, and shallot sauce.

Wandin Kitchen

Set within the grounds of Wandin Estate, Wandin Kitchen offers a seasonal breakfast and lunch menu featuring locally sourced produce supported by their thriving kitchen garden. For breakfast, you can’t go past the croque monsieur with ham Dijon mustard, bechamel sauce, gruyere cheese on sourdough, or the cassoulet beans, beans, speck, chorizo smokey chilli tomato stew served with a poached egg and Binnorie feta.

For lunch, we recommend opting for the Chef’s Tasting Plate where you get to try a selection of four items, a sure-fire way to send your tastebuds on a culinary journey like the togarashi tempura king prawns with black garlic mayonnaise to the twice-cooked pork belly with macadamia cream.

Luigi works with as much local produce as possible while also importing the finest ingredients from Italy, like Prosciutto di Parma, mozzarella, parmesan and pizza flour directly from Napoli to ensure as authentic a dining experience as possible.
