A romantasy author brings her book tour home
Newcastle’s romantasy readers, this one’s for you. Author and University of Newcastle creative writing graduate, Amy de la Force is bringing her Australian book tour home this August, with a signing for A Kiss of Hammer and Flame.
As part of the Australian leg of Amy’s book tour, the author of A Kiss of Hammer and Flame is bringing her latest release to Harry Hartog Kotara for a special book signing (and a surprise) on Saturday 15 August.
Published by Penguin Random House, A Kiss of Hammer and Flame is book one of the Fated For Hael trilogy, and is the story of Cahra, a blacksmith who is swept into adventure as war, power, betrayal, love, and magick collide.
The signing marks a homecoming for the Newcastle Uni graduate, who is returning from London for the Australian leg of her book tour after landing a three-book deal.

With romantasy continuing to dominate bestseller lists and BookTok feeds, the event is a timely one for readers who love fantasy worlds, high-stakes romance, powerful heroines, and a shadow daddy love interest.
Beyond the page, the author brings a pretty impressive backstory of her own. She is a Lucy Cavendish Fiction Prize shortlistee, former Apple copywriter, martial artist, and medieval sword fighter.
Her debut novel has appeared in The Express, The Mirror US, The Bookseller, Publishers Weekly, and the British Fantasy Society, and became a Kobo #1 Romance bestseller and Apple Books top 10 Paranormal Romance bestseller.
