Bar Beach Bowlo 

Bar Beach Bowlo is a local favourite for barefoot bowls, get-togethers with mates, and relaxed, tasty bistro food. On Sundays, order a roast for $22.

Beerhaus

With 40 taps of German, international and local beers, Beerhaus is a beer lover’s dream. Pair your brew with a hearty meal, including the Beerhaus Pork Roast with crackling pork belly and all the trimmings. Grab it for $20 on Sundays.

Bernie’s Bar

On Sundays, head to LGBTQ+ bar Bernie’s Bar for a classic Sunday roast, with roast pork, roast potatoes, plenty of veggies, and gravy. Even better, it’s only $20, and includes your choice of drink. Bernie’s Bar is always putting on events, so chances are there’ll be something fun on while you’re there!

Don’t wait until Sunday to enjoy your roast, with Cowper St Diner at Carrington Bowling Club offering a $20 roast of the day every day of the week. The meat switches up, but you can always expect roast pumpkin, potato, cauliflower bake, greens, and gravy.

Cricketers Arms Hotel

Offering its $22 Sunday roast for both lunch and dinner, Cricketers Arms Hotel in Cooks Hill claims its offering is the best in Newcastle. You can be the judge of that – while the meat changes up, you can always expect a Yorkshire pudding, plenty of vegetables, and just the right amount of gravy.

Lake Macquarie locals can get a Sunday roast at the Great Northern Hotel in Teralba for just $15 – available from midday until sold out.

Harrison's

For a limited time, head to Harrison's for a chicken, beef, or pork roast, served with a glass of Hunter Valley wine for $35. Perfect for a cosy Sunday lunch.

All winter, the Honeysuckle Hotel is putting on a roast chicken special – grab either a half or whole roast chicken (or one and a half roast chooks if you’re feeding three people) with trimmings like country mash, root vegetables, mushroom sauce, and onion rings.

Mayfield West Bowling Club

Westside Bistro at Mayfield West Bowling Club is serving up a roast on Sundays for $17. The kitchen switches up the meat offering each week, but your roast is served with roasted chat potatoes, pumpkin, steamed vegetables and gravy every time.

The Colliery Inn in Wallsend is well-loved for its $25 Sunday roast, which switches between pork and lamb each week. You can always expect a Yorkshire pudding, a selection of veggies, and a good helping of gravy.

The Grand Hotel’s Sunday roast options are on the pricier side, but they absolutely deliver when it comes to size and flavour. Choose from Pork Roast & Crispy Crackling or 28 Day Aged Beef Rump with herb roasted chats, Yorkshire pudding, honey glazed carrots, British green peas and apple sauce with the pork option, or gravy with the beef option.

The Nags Head Hotel

Adamstown local The Nags Head Hotel offers a Sunday roast for both lunch and dinner for $18. Keep an eye out for drink specials on a Sunday too, plus there's live sports on in the main and sports bar – Sunday sorted.

The Stag and Hunter Hotel

Mayfield locals, listen up: The Stag and Hunter Hotel’s Sunday roast is a goodie. The meat changes up weekly, but expect offerings like beef brisket served with herby chat potatoes. Are you a wine drinker? The team is happy to suggest you a drop from their wine list that pairs perfectly with the week’s roast.

Wests New Lambton Bistro

One of the dishes on the ‘Signatures’ section of Wests New Lambton’s menu, the Traditional Roast Pork comes with apple sauce, crackling, gravy, roast potatoes, roast pumpkin, and seasonal vegetables, for just $20.
