Experience A Midsummer Night's Dream in the Briar Ridge Wine Garden
Be transported to ancient Athens and into the world of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Briar Ridge Vineyard this summer.
The Barden Party theatre company are stopping in at Briar Ridge as part of their 2024 tour across Australia and New Zealand to perform their immersive rendition of this Shakespearean comedy.
What better place to enjoy this magical summer evening than in Briar Ridge’s Wine Garden? Round up your friends and family, bring a picnic rug, and settle in for a sunset soiree.
Feeling peckish? Indulge in an optional addition of antipasti to graze on during the performance. Choose between the Local Produce Picnic Pack, which includes cheese from Binnorie Dairy, locally-cured lonza or bresaola by Hungerford Meat Co, Spotty Dog wine paste, and crackers; or The Briar Platter, which is a larger picnic spread featuring everything on Briar Ridge's Premium Cheese & Premium Charcuterie platters.
If you'd like more to snack on, try the array of street food-style bites by renowned Hunter Valley chef Jonathan Heath. Expect dishes like crispy squid legs, Sydney rock oysters with an Indonesian dressing, gnocchi in basil cream, duck spring rolls, and spiced beef cheek tacos. Each dish has its own suggested Briar Ridge wine pairing, so you can eat and sip in style. The kids are catered for too with chicken nuggets and chips!
Tickets to A Midsummer Night’s Dream also include a glass of Briar Ridge wine on arrival, plus there’ll be a themed cocktail bar set up to really immerse guests in the Shakespearean experience.
This is an affair for everyone, so bring the whole family! Children under 12 can enjoy the show for free and will be treated to complimentary ice blocks to stay refreshed.
Tickets are available now, but they won’t last long – don’t miss out!
