Dive In Cinema
Dive in Cinema is back on Friday January 26! Making a splash at Maitland Aquatic Centre, Dive in Cinema is a film night complete with entertainment, food, laser tag, lawn games, and free swim time.
Cool off in the pool while you watch movies all evening – the ultimate way to chill out this summer.
Newcastle Jets in the A-League Women
Cheer on the Newcastle Jets in the A-League Women as the team makes its way to Maitland Regional Sportsground this season.
Three home games will be held in Maitland with food stalls and other entertainment available.

Maitland Regional Art Gallery – Free Art January
Maitland Regional Art Gallery has a bumper program of creative fun for families and young people across the summer holidays. Think drop-in art activities, an I Spy art trail and codebreakers, and workshops for all ages.

Have you visited Maitland Gaol? This summer is your chance, with a range of guided tours and activities available.
A new view awaits on the brand new Tower Tour, available to book now. Rise seven metres up a spiral staircase to reveal a unique perspective on the gaol and its surroundings below.
Maitland Aquatic Centres
Looking to keep cool in the summer heat? Make your way to Maitland Aquatic Centre and East Maitland Aquatic Centre!
Entertain the family over the summer break with a choice of indoor and outdoor swimming options to splash around in.
The Splash Pad will be open daily from 11.00am to 4.00pm at Maitland Aquatic Centre, and there’s free entry from 10am-4pm at both aquatic centres for Maitland Council’s Australia Day event.
Plus, book into the Holiday Swim Program across January 2024.
If you’re after some indoor fun this summer, join Maitland Libraries these school holidays for stacks of activities (and books of course!)
The libraries will be open late with live storytelling and a silent reading party, or if the littles ones are keen to get creative, they can learn the art of watercolour and collage.
