When Belinda and Paul Bartle opened Belle & Co. in Long Jetty in October 2020, they wanted to create a great coffee experience in a space that has a fresh, warm, and welcoming vibe with a coastal feel.
The couple met working at the Crowne Plaza Terrigal 22 years ago and they each bring some impressive hospitality cred from big venues such as Dooralong Valley resort, and experience running pubs, weddings, and events.
“We absolutely love the community feel of Long Jetty and the regular customers we see. we love their smiling faces. I'ts such a friendly vibe with a supportive community.
“Owning our own café has been something that I have especially wanted to do for quite a long time. After managing cafes and restaurants for as long as I can remember, it was now my turn,” Belinda shared.
From getting the keys to renovating, re-decorating, and paving an outdoor courtyard, Belle & Co. opened to the Long Jetty community within 3 weeks. It combines Belinda and Paul’s knack for quality and service with the small and intimate local feel.
“The cafe’s success has been thanks to all of our beautiful loyal customers. We found during the depths of COVID they would buy extra things like milk, muffins, and cookies not because they really wanted it, but mainly to help us out. We absolutely love the community feel of Long Jetty and the regular customers we see, it's such a friendly local vibe with a supportive community at its core.”
Coffee is the heart of Belle & Co. featuring two blends of Veneziano Coffee (Pulse and Soar) plus seasonal single-origin blends. Their light breakfast menu is quick to grab and go such as toasties, muesli, waffles, and chia with fruit and coconut yoghurt. Popular lunch items include the Pulled Pork Tacos, The Belle & Co. Rueben, and the Maple Walnut, Feta & Avo Salad.
Located right between the beach and the lake in Long Jetty, Belle & Co. also offer grazing boxes to take on a picnic (order 24 hours ahead) so you can enjoy their tasty treats in the great outdoors. If dining in you can also spoil your fur baby with a puppuccino or pet treat in the pet-friendly courtyard.
