The Bateau Bay Hotel has been a popular Central Coast venue for years, and now the community and visitors alike can look forward to a vibrant new Palm Springs-style local as the owners embark on a major refurb. 

The Bateau Bay Hotel is known for its casual atmosphere, vast outdoor space, and shaded patio and entertainment area. These relaxed and spacious qualities are being taken into an elevated plan, two years in the making with Fabric Architecture.

The plan aims to elevate the venue and improve facilities, to provide the community with a fresh new venue to enjoy with family and friends.

The concept for the new Bateau Bay Hotel is to provide a home for all sensibilities, be it an afternoon spritz or a beer with a game. It features modern bar & dining facilities, spacious outdoor seating, a massive brand-new kids' playground, a fresh new menu  & alfresco areas.

“Bateau Bay Hotel is going to be one of few local pubs that are truly family-friendly. We want our locals to be able to enjoy a delicious meal and drink in a modern and welcoming space, a second home so to speak,” says Bec Ives, Marketing Coordinator of Hunter Hotel Group.

The design concept by Fabric Architecture is a space that feels like sunshine; with the use of vibrant colours and coastal palm prints based upon the joyful feeling of a tropical holiday.

The artist's impression shows retro-esque typography, pastel prints and feature walls, indoor plants, and plenty of natural light. Nestled in the beautiful locale of Bateau Bay, the new and improved pub is set to be a place to chill, unwind, and make memories with family and friends. 

Stage one of the renovations which includes the restaurant, dining areas, main bar, beer garden, and kid's playground areas is due to be completed in December 2023 before the pub reopens completely over the summer. Stage two of the renovations is set to commence in early 2024.
