Snow Time in the Garden | 27 Jun – 26 Jul 2026
Experience a winter wonderland in the Hunter as Snow Time in the Garden returns to Hunter Valley Gardens these school holidays. Enjoy real snow play, ice skating, a giant 45-metre ice toboggan, roving performers and live entertainment, all included with your entry ticket. Ninja Parc School Holiday Camp | 6 Jul – 17 Jul 2026

Keep the kids active these school holidays with the NUsport Sports Holiday Program. Each day features a mix of fun, social sports designed to build skills, teamwork and confidence in a supportive environment. Explore the large lagoons with sandy shores, rocky reefs, caves, crevices, and holes, and have a shark and ray experience like no other. The Irukandji Shark & Ray Centre in Anna Bay is one of the best family-friendly experiences and is ideal for the school holidays.

Newcastle Art Gallery
Make weekends more creative with the newly updated Newcastle Art Gallery. Be sure to join their Studio Weekends held every Saturday and Sunday, for a free drop-in program with hands-on artmaking for families inspired by current exhibitions and artists. Friendly art tutors guide each session, and all ages and abilities are welcome. No bookings required. Free entry - held on Saturdays and Sundays, 10am - 12pm. 

Ninja Parc
Kids climbing the walls? Let them climb at Ninja Parc instead! Ninja Parc Newcastle will be running 3-hour, fully supervised school holiday programs for kids aged 6-14 years on weekdays throughout the school holidays.

Winmark invites you to a family-friendly Sculpture Walk suitable for the entire family. Enjoy a stroll amongst the vineyard as you take in the spectacular array of sculptures from large to small, everywhere you look you’ll be enthralled as you seek the next one. Take the self-guided walking tour of the picturesque property, taking in some of the best scenery in the region while you meander, barista coffees in hand. The kids will have their own A3 colouring maps with crayons to capture their creativity as they stop and draw what they see.
