The brainchild of John Schneider and Aaron Spalding, Rippit Golf has been open since late 2022, with new offerings added over the past 18 months and continuing to develop every day.

This innovative destination aims to become one of Newcastle’s number one venue for an all-encompassing food, drink, activity, and entertainment spot.

The duo, with their shared passion for golf inspired the concept of Rippit Golf with the first part of the business kicking things off – the 18-hole mini-golf course.

“They’ve both got a passion for golf and decided one day sitting together that one day, something like this would be a good idea,” Mark Forster, Operations Manager said.

Rippit Golf’s offerings are diverse and are designed to not only appeal to golfers of all ages and skill levels, but to those who may be seeking a new family experience, a date night spot, bucks and hens groups, corporate meetings, to even those looking for a new spot to grab a feed and catch up on the latest sport.

The 18-hole mini-golf course comes complete with a unique design, with no walls or barriers in the way of your shots, plus two levels per hole to allow for a fun challenge. Rippit’s mini-golf can be booked online and it’s open to any age and skill level.

Rubbing shoulders with the mini-golf course is the venue’s incredibly popular 16-bay driving range that comes complete with state-of-the-art Uneekor tracking technology. It’s great for golfers looking to refine skills or just a lot of fun for those looking to give something new a crack.

“For the golfers in the world, Unkeekor that we use is like the Louis Vuitton of the golf technology world.”

The Rippit driving range is unique with its launch monitor technology that offers instant feedback on ball flight and swing characteristics as well as an auto tee loader. Keen visitors can just book their driving range spot based on time and hit as many balls as they want in that period.

Step inside and find the eight golf simulator bays with software that accommodates all skill levels. Grab your friends and hit some balls or book a spot to really hone your golfing skills.

“We have about 490 courses worldwide available to be played and that number is growing every week. Our most popular course is Augusta – the home of the masters. Anyone who is in the golf world will know what that is.”

It doesn’t quite stop at the activities at Rippit Golf, the venue even has an onsite restaurant and bar aptly named the Tap Inn Bar and Bistro. The beer tap features 12 beers including local favourite Modus Sonic Prayer as well as a selection of the top favourite pours.

The kitchen pumps out your typical pub-style food and has already built a strong following for its mouthwatering pizzas, loaded schnitzels, and believe it or not, its chips!

“The Tap Inn concept came from the fact that we wanted the food and beverage side of things to be an offering on its own. You don’t have to just come in for the activities, you can just come in for food and drink.”

Tap Inn also offers menu specials Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday nights plus cheap lunch specials Monday to Friday.

The development of the venue has more to come with a focused training facility hoping to launch before the end of the year as well as encouraging corporate functions and of course, the all-important Christmas parties – that were a massive hit last year despite minimal advertising.
