All Event Cruises is taking Newcastle Tuna Festival onto the harbour this July with an exclusive lunch cruise aboard MV Calmer.

On Sunday, 26 July, Newcastle Tuna Festival onboard MV Calmer will feature canapés, bubbly, a live Japanese tuna cutting demonstration, and a three-course lunch.

Set against 360-degree views of Newcastle Harbour, this exclusive lunch cruise brings together fresh seafood, harbour views, and a culinary showcase on the water.

Guests will begin the afternoon with canapés and a glass of bubbly on arrival before watching a live Japanese tuna cutting demonstration up close.

The three-course lunch includes freshly served tuna sashimi from the demonstration, followed by an alternate drop main of eye fillet wrapped in prosciutto with truffle potato gratin, broccolini, and red wine jus, or roasted vegetable Wellington with seasonal vegetables.

Dessert will be served as an alternate drop, with dark chocolate delice or lemon and white chocolate tart. Wine pairings will be available to purchase from the bars on the day, with selected options from First Creek Wines.


Newcastle Tuna Fest returns in 2026 bringing a bigger, bolder celebration of seafood, local restaurants, and the city’s coastal dining identity. Launching on Sunday, June 28, with the Grand Opening Event, Newcastle Tuna Fest continues throughout July with the festival centering around the Newcastle Seafood Trail, with around 30 participating venues across Newcastle each creating a signature tuna or seafood dish.
