A month-long tuna trail is coming to Newcastle this June and July
Newcastle Tuna Fest is returning for another year, bringing a bigger, bolder celebration of seafood, local restaurants, and the city’s coastal dining identity.
Launching on Sunday, June 28, Newcastle Tuna Fest will continue throughout July with the Newcastle Seafood Trail as its main feature.

Built for winter, Newcastle Tuna Fest will once again shine a spotlight on the city’s connection to the ocean, its passionate local venues, talented chefs, and vibrant food culture.
This year’s festival will centre around the Newcastle Seafood Trail, with around 30 participating venues across Newcastle each creating a signature tuna or seafood dish.

Locals and visitors will be invited to taste their way through the city, discovering new venues, revisiting old favourites, and experiencing Newcastle’s seafood scene in a fresh way.
The Tuna Festival Booklet will include a map of the Seafood Trail that will guide guests from venue to venue, showcasing each dish and the chefs behind them.
Presented by Nagisa and the Hunter Culinary Association, the festival officially launches with a Grand Opening Event at Nagisa on Sunday, June 28, kicking off a month-long celebration across Newcastle throughout July. Further event details will be announced soon.
