Right in time for the festive season, a homewares and lifestyle space has set up a pop-up shop on King Street, perfect for all of your gift shopping.

Brought to you by Newcastle local, Kate, Muse Agora has been operating as an online shop since early 2022, and in October 2023 launched as a pop-up brick-and-mortar space in the former Asa Don space.

With almost 20 years of experience in the retail and homewares industry, Kate adds her personal touch and style to the Muse Agora range.

Muse Agora, takes inspiration from the Greek word and refers to a modern marketplace to be inspired.

“In ancient times, the heart of every Greek city was the agora, a marketplace and the centre of daily life. A place for trade, art, ideas, conversation, and inspiration. At Muse Agora, we evoke the values and energy of the primordial market to bring you unique, bespoke, and beautiful homewares from artists and craftsmen near and far,” Kate said.

In-store, you’ll find a collection of local and Australian-made and designed products with stand-out brands including candles from Etikette and Thematikos, bags from Pelli and The Market Basket Co, and ceramics from Kim Wallace ceramics amongst some of our personal favourites.

“We see ourselves as curators of stylish, warm, inspiring homes, and welcome enquiries of interior decorating and gifting.”

The pop-up space will be open until Christmas, with the potential to be open into January – but you’ll have to watch Muse Agora’s Instagram to stay up to date on this one.
