The Tumble Club began as a local idea from Newcastle couple Stu and Kersti Faulkner. After years of travelling for work and seeing laundromats that were bleak, broken, and coin-jammed, Stu figured it was time someone made the experience better. Cleaner. Brighter. Easier. Maybe even enjoyable.

In 2019 they opened the first Tumble Club on Darby Street, Cooks Hill. One club turned into a handful. Then a small fleet. Now you’ll find Tumble Clubs across Kotara, Glendale, Belmont, Gillieston Heights, and Huntlee, which opened just a few months ago.
The movement hasn’t stopped there. The Central Coast now has three clubs too, all carrying that same friendly, family-built feel.
An hour that’s actually for you
The Tumble Club isn’t just about laundry. It’s about carving out a quiet, oddly-soothing hour in your week. Pop your washing on and grab a coffee nearby. Scroll the free WiFi. Put your headphones in.
Or just sit and zone out while the machines hum along. An hour to yourself (pro tip for parents: tell your partner you’re “going to do all the washing” and sneak off for an hour of calm, then return with clean laundry).

Regulars chatting, parents exchanging tips, neighbours helping neighbours figure out what machine to use. It’s a place built by a local family and now shared by the community around it.
