Newcastle lands its first Finn Poke eatery
Hunter Street has welcomed an exciting new addition with Australia’s first poke-focused restaurant, Finn Poke.

Known for its vibrant, Hawaiian-inspired poke bowls crafted with fresh local ingredients, Finn Poke has earned a cult following across iconic spots like Byron Bay, Burleigh Heads, Southbank in Brisbane, and now, Newcastle.
Setting up right next door to Darks Coffee Roasters on Hunter Street, Finn Poke brings a much-anticipated health-conscious choice to the city’s food scene.

Founded by the innovative Jacinta Group, Finn Poke has become synonymous with high-quality, healthy dining that doesn’t compromise on flavour. The menu at Finn Poke is built around crowd-favourite bowls like the Big Katuna Bowl; loaded with fresh tuna, seaweed salad, pickled ginger, and homemade shoyu sauce.
In addition, dishes like the Teri-Mayo Salon Bowl and Kalua Pulled Pork Bowl are bound to entice those looking for something savoury and satisfying. One of the most exciting dishes on the menu are the Barramundi Sashimi poke bowls – the OG Barra Bowl and the Spicy Thai Barra – bringing a unique, Australian twist to traditional poke.

Beyond the classics and signature bowls, Finn Poke also caters to those with a sweet tooth, offering a Coconut Chia Pudding that serves as a light, refreshing finish to any meal.
“Newcastle has a rich food scene and dedication to sustainability, which made it the perfect place for Finn Poke’s next hub. Expanding here was a no-brainer for us as we wanted to give locals closer access to our fresh, healthy bowls,” Founder, Jem Jacinto said.

With roots in the laid-back, coastal vibes of Byron Bay and its commitment to health-conscious fast food, Finn Poke offers a delicious alternative to typical takeaway options.
