Restaurants don't get much more waterfront than this. Hovering above Newcastle's busy working harbour, Battlesticks Bar has you getting right amongst all the harbour action and taking in some of the best views in the city. Part of the iconic Scratchley's restaurant, Battlesticks Bar is a smart addition and brings with it a crisp and contemporary drinking and dining space to Newcastle.
Taking full advantage of its 180 degree views, Battlesticks makes for the perfect pre or post dinner drinks location, or, if you get comfortable order some share plates and settle in for the evening. Unsurprisingly, the menu has a distinct seafood flavour, but not exclusively, with a good variety of dishes.
With its high ceilings, louvred windows and breezy interior the unique architecture of Battlesticks Bar creates an almost seamless merge between floor and harbour water, so much so that you may need to take your sea legs with you.
There's no wrong or right occasion for a visit to Battlesticks Bar, whether it's after five work drinks, an easy Sunday session or a romantic date night it makes for the ideal harbourside venue.
