Starting in 2015, husband and wife team, Tim and Kirsty Burness brought Australia’s 1st Wine Region Hop-On Hop-Off service to our very own Hunter Valley and have continuously been making visitor experiences memorable.
Offering a unique range of day and night tours, iHop aims to suit all budgets, tastes, and even groups! Pick from their popular hop-on-hop-off service, Taste ‘n’ Graze food and drink pairing or a progressive night dining experience.
“We aim to provide tours that are affordable, flexible and unlike any other in the area, offering our guests a unique and memorable experience for years to come.
“Our passion was always related to food and wine and wanting to have a business together in tourism or hospitality. After researching many opportunities over the years, we just never seemed to find the right one! So, after 8 years of frequently visiting the Hunter as tourists ourselves, we felt there was a need for an affordable transport option that allowed guests to pick and choose what they wanted to do in their time.”
The hop-on-hop-off bus tour allows you to pick and choose from over 50 venues to visit, and guess what? You can do it all at your own pace. Unlimited access to the bus routes over the duration of the day, you could be hopping from winery to winery in no time!
If you’re after something with a bit more guidance, Taste ‘n’ Graze your way around the Hunter. On this tour, you’ll uncover the art of food and drink pairing in a progressive range of tasting experiences matched with local produce, award-winning wines, and aged whiskies and rums.
The guided tour allows you and your mates to sit back, relax and take in the best of the Hunter Valley. Enjoy local cheeses, wines, seasonal produce, hand-crafted chocolates across four different locations.
Learn the art of cheese and wine pairing at Calais Estate's boutique winery, next is to Wandin for their tantalising Chef's tasting plate paired with premium Wandin wines. Follow-up with a discovery of the adventurous and complex world of food pairing with your choice of whiskey or rum at Goldfish Bar & Restaurant before finishing off with a chocolate and wine pairing at Tulloch Wines.
