First arriving in the Hunter Valley in 1895, and now a 4th generation wine making family, the history of Tullochs is long and fascinating, and for those keen on a story or two from the past the Tulloch Wines cellar door in Pokolbin is a must visit.
For those not so much into history and more into wine drinking it’s apparent as soon as you drive into Tulloch’s spectacular property what 120 or so years of wine making does for you.
The customer is at the core of the Tulloch business with every aspect of the cellar door experience taking the customer into consideration. Whether it’s just a quick couple of tastes over the upstairs bar or a more leisurely wine tasting experience, Tulloch’s are keen to bring back the fun to wine tasting.
The staff love to have a chat, and not just about wine, and keep it as informative or informal as you please. No intimidating wine words or long winded descriptions of flavours that leaving you scratching your head. Instead a more relaxed and approachable look to the world of wine and how to drink it.
Don’t get us wrong though, it’s not all laughs and banter. If you know your stuff when it comes to wine the Tulloch team are more than up for a challenge and love to have their almost encyclopaedic knowledge of wine tested.
