Day-dreaming about Whitevale, Lovedale's luxurious holiday escape

Yep it’s a crazy world we now live in.  There’s a lot of uncertainty about jobs and what our lives will look like in the wake of Corona.  For the parents out there, add to that impending school closures and holidays nearly upon us and it’s no wonder we’re all feeling a little (or perhaps a lot) overwhelmed and anxious.  So, while we don’t want to underplay the gravity or semi-permanence of recent events, we do want to keep providing the content we know you like to read.  The kind that’s fairly light-hearted, entertaining and hopefully, on occasion, inspirational.

With this in mind, let me introduce you to your next weekend holiday retreat right here in the Hunter Valley.  Sit down, take a load off and dream with us about better times ahead, at the super-luxe Whitevale Estate.

Whitevale Estate

With the capacity to sleep up to 18 people, this is the kind of place you’re going to want to bookmark for that 40th Birthday celebration (hint hint) anniversary or group family holiday when social distancing and self-isolation are a distant memory.

Whitevale Estate

Magnificent as it is, you won’t have much trouble remembering Whitevale.  The property is, as the name suggests, white.  Let’s take a tour, starting with the very spacious living room.

You don’t need the best imagination in the world to picture yourself kicking back on these gorgeous leather lounges, a glass of wine in hand, cosying up in front of the ready stocked fireplace.

But let me set the scene.  You and your crew have just come back from wine tasting in and around the Valley. Your music friend (the one who's created all manner of playlists for the holiday) puts on some chilled tunes.  There’s a platter of delicious cheese and antipasto goodies on the coffee table courtesy of Binnorie Dairy (from down the road).  Oh and of course, a line up of half a dozen wines from your travels on the kitchen bench, just waiting to be savoured.   Are you with me?

If you’re not in the living room, you’ll no doubt be enjoying the outdoor pavilion area.  Whatever the season, it’s where the real entertaining is done.

There’s a long concrete dining table, comfortable lounges, fireplace and a full outdoor kitchen facility with a 5-burner BBQ, in-built esky and prep station.   Don’t forget to pack your togs too.  If it’s warm, you might like a dip in the private pool which overlooks the property’s serene bushlands.

Next on the tour, it’s onto the sleeping quarters or more accurately guest suites.  There’s actually seven bedrooms in total, each with its own bathroom or ensuite.  Hooray!

If you’re lucky enough to win the coin toss for the Master Suite, you might just spend your whole weekend there.

It’s got a marble walk-in rain shower room, a herringbone tiled hydro spa bath, his and hers vanity and a separate make-up vanity.

Oh, and it’s massive.  If you don’t jag the Master, don’t despair.  Each bedroom is its own sleepy oasis, individually themed and beautifully decorated.

Indeed, there’s lots to love about this property, especially the gourmet galley kitchen and dining area which is ideal for that dinner party you wanted to host.

In my holiday fantasy, I’ve got a private chef, but hey, if cooking’s your thing, Whitevale has you covered.

Everything you’ll need’s right at your fingertips, including the 18-seater dining table and the adjacent post dinner games room complete with custom pool table, bar fridge, TV and combustion fireplace.

Whitevale is a certainly a grand and luxurious estate, with all the little details thoughtfully considered to ensure your stay is perfection.  For bookings, enquiries or more day-dream material, visit Hunter Valley Stays.
