Loca Vida takes over this year’s Spiegeltent in Civic Park
Newcastle’s Spiegeltent season is back in Civic Park this September, and Strut & Fret is bringing the heat with Loca Vida, a brand-new cabaret-circus spectacle making its debut in Newcastle.
From Friday, 4 September to Sunday, 4 October, Loca Vida will transform The Spiegeltent Newcastle into a high-octane world of circus, cabaret, big brass, sky-high kicks, and late-night glamour.
Presented by internationally acclaimed live entertainment company Strut & Fret, Loca Vida invites audiences to step behind the velvet curtain and surrender to the wild energy of the crazy life.
Seductive, chaotic, and unapologetically glamorous, the show brings together a hand-picked cast of international artists for a night of pulse-racing performance.
Expect jaw-dropping acrobatics, show-stopping choreography, exhilarating circus, big brass, and a pulsing soundtrack, all delivered inside the intimate surrounds of The Spiegeltent in Civic Park.
From the creators of global hits Blanc de Blanc Encore, La Ronde, and The Party, this brand-new production carries Strut & Fret’s signature mix of world-class artistry, old-school showbiz glamour, and delightful chaos.

Loca Vida will also be part of New Annual 2026, which runs from 25 September to 4 October and brings live performance, art, and creative experiences into Newcastle’s civic and coastal spaces.
Strut & Fret Producer Jess Copas said the show captures the thrill of a decadent night out, with all the chaos, glamour, and electricity of live performance.
New Annual Festival Director Tory Loudon said Spiegeltent gives audiences the chance to experience live performance outside a traditional theatre setting, with the structure bringing a vibrant theatrical atmosphere to Civic Park.
With its mix of cabaret, circus, choreography, music, and spectacle, Loca Vida is set to be one of the big-ticket live entertainment moments of Newcastle’s 2026 events calendar.
