Newcastle's Annual Surfest is back this March to welcome over 800 surfers to compete along our beautiful coastline.

The largest surfing festival in the southern hemisphere hosts 9 different events with the major event being the World Surf League Challenger series held on Merewether beach.

Locals and visitors can soak up the atmosphere as athletes compete for the chance to qualify for the big leagues, the Championship Tour.

Surfest is a celebration of Newcastle coastal culture, community, local hospitality, and a chance to rub shoulders with some big names on our local beaches.
