A European seafood dinner for Tuna Fest
Urban Restaurant & Wine Bar is joining the Newcastle Tuna Fest Seafood Trail this July with a one-night-only dinner celebrating seafood, wine, and European flavours.
On Wednesday, 22 July, Seafood Around Europe will take guests through a seafood-focused menu with optional matching beverages at Urban Restaurant & Wine Bar.
Held as part of Newcastle Tuna Fest, Seafood Around Europe is a one-night-only dining experience dedicated to the flavours of the ocean.
The menu will take guests through the regions of Europe, beginning with house-made focaccia and whipped black garlic butter before moving into bluefin tuna tartare with capers, dill, Dijon, and risotto rice cake.
From there, guests will enjoy angel hair pasta with Shark Bay crab, followed by a Basque-style seafood stew with crispy skin snapper, chorizo, prawn, mussels, and rich tomato sauce.
Sides include fennel and orange salad with shoestring fries and lime aioli, before the evening finishes with preserved lemon panna cotta and almond crumb.

Newcastle Tuna Fest - Feature Dish
Throughout July, Urban will also be serving its Newcastle Tuna Fest special dish, Charred Sydney Bluefin Tuna with celeriac purée, potato fondant, tarragon butter, and bottarga pangrattato.
Newcastle Tuna Fest returns in 2026 bringing a bigger, bolder celebration of seafood, local restaurants, and the city’s coastal dining identity. Launching on Sunday, June 28, with the Grand Opening Event, Newcastle Tuna Fest continues throughout July with the festival centering around the Newcastle Seafood Trail, with around 30 participating venues across Newcastle each creating a signature tuna or seafood dish.
