Local seafood and Scarborough wines at Signal Box

Signal Box Newcastle is joining Newcastle Tuna Fest this July with a four-course seafood dinner matched with Scarborough Wines.

On Thursday, 2 July, Seafood and Scarborough at the Signal Box will celebrate local seafood, seasonal flavours, and matched Hunter Valley wines.

As part of Newcastle Tuna Fest, Signal Box Newcastle is partnering with Scarborough Wines for a special evening celebrating the region’s seafood and wine producers.

Guests will enjoy a four-course seafood dinner crafted to showcase premium local seafood and seasonal ingredients.

The menu will feature renowned Dawson’s Oysters and fresh seafood sourced from Red Funnel Seafood, with each course paired with wines from Scarborough Wines.

Seafood Trail Dish

Signal Box is serving Tuna Sashimi, created by Dan James.

The dish features tuna sashimi dressed in zesty nahm jim with coconut, kaffir lime, padron, fresh coriander, and crispy onions, bringing together fresh, citrusy, and aromatic flavours.

Lunch: Tuesday–Sunday, 11:30am–2:30pm
Dinner: Tuesday–Friday, 5:30pm–9:30pm

Newcastle Tuna Fest returns in 2026 bringing a bigger, bolder celebration of seafood, local restaurants, and the city’s coastal dining identity. Launching on Sunday, June 28, with the Grand Opening Event, Newcastle Tuna Fest continues throughout July with the festival centering around the Newcastle Seafood Trail, with around 30 participating venues across Newcastle each creating a signature tuna or seafood dish.
