The magic of Christmas has returned to Hunter Valley Gardens
The Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights will return in November this year, with the gardens set to once again transform into a twinkling wonderland.

Whether it’s your annual family tradition or your first time visiting, there’s something about wandering beneath millions of sparkling lights that instantly puts you in the festive spirit.
What was new in 2025
The Gardens added a few extra touches of Christmas cheer in 2025. You could sip something merry at The Evergreen Tavern, or wander through HO HO Harvest, a brand-new area opening up celebrating Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas connection with the Gardens. There was also a bunch of new light installations throughout too, – each corner promises a little surprise and a lot of sparkle.

Live entertainment
The entertainment lineup brings the festive vibes to life with a calendar of performances, live music from the Felix Quinn Band, and roaming acts that kids (and let’s be honest, adults) will love – from stilt walkers and jugglers to the mesmerising Lollipop Lyra aerial act.
And if you’ve got little ones in tow, Nutcracker Storytime is a must-see. It’s an interactive retelling where kids get to meet the story’s characters, it's pure Christmas magic.
Festive Fun for Everyone
Between light displays, hop on a few of the family-friendly rides, grab a bite from the festive food stalls, and don’t forget to get your photo with Santa (available until December 24).
Then, on New Year’s Eve, the Gardens will add more to the festivities, this time with a 9pm fireworks display perfect for families who want to celebrate early.

Rides are an additional cost and operate during the night sessions only. There’s complimentary onsite parking, and plenty of nearby spots to stay if you want to make a weekend of it – check out accommodation packages at Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens and Harrigan’s Hunter Valley.

Amusement rides
In addition to the lights, the big and little kids can get amongst all the amusement rides which operate until late each night.
Go high on the ferris wheel for the best view over the light displays, take a spin on the teacups or swing chair, take it slow on the carousel or get the adrenaline pumping on the superslide.

Food stalls
After all that exploring you're going to need to be recharged and rehydrated. Luckily, Hunter Valley Gardens has plenty of meals, snacks, and drinks to choose from.
Think nachos and burrito bowls, Greek food, woodfired pizza, loaded potatoes, burgers, gelato, donuts, churros, and heaps more.

So round up your family, bring your camera, and get ready for a night under the stars, and under millions of lights, at the Hunter Valley Gardens Christmas Lights Spectacular.
