The Kaden Centre - Annual Charity Golf Day | 7 May
Established by Suzanne Clark-Pitrolo, The Kaden Centre is a Newcastle health promotion charity, delivering evidence-based cancer and chronic disease rehabilitation. To help raise funds for the centre, they are hosting their 2nd annual charity golf day, and will be hosting Nick Farr-Jones as their special guest.

Grapes of Mirth | 8 May
Popular national comedy and wine touring event, Grapes of Mirth, returns to Newcastle featuring six Hunter Region wine producers:  Peter Drayton Wines, Glandore Estate, First Creek Wines, De Iuliss Wines, Thomas Wines and Hart and Hunter. Up in the Air Festival | 23 May
One of the US Navy’s most devastating WWII warbirds will thunder over Lake Macquarie next month as part of a new festival based on the Rathmines foreshore. Aside from aerial acrobatics, attendees can enjoy live music, classic car displays, food trucks, market stalls, science shows, kite-making workshops and magic among the other attractions on offer. Helicopter joyflights will also be available throughout the day. Bookings are essential.

Warbirds to soar as new Lake Mac event takes flight | 23 May
One of the US Navy’s most devastating WWII warbirds will thunder over Lake Macquarie next month as part of a new festival based on the Rathmines foreshore.
Up in the Air will feature aerial displays by Australia’s only Grumman TBF Avenger – the heaviest single-engine aircraft of the Second World War, famous for sinking the Japanese super-battleships Yamato and Musashi.

Wear Your Uggs Day! | 1 June 
The day, presented by Ugg Express, is in support of the Black Dog Institute aims to raise awareness and support those who are struggling with their mental health. If you purchase a pair of ugg boots to wear on the day from Ugg Express until 1st of June, 10% of the sales will be donated to the Black Dog Institute to assist them in their ongoing medical research. For those who already own ugg boots to wear on the day but still want to help, you can make a donation to the institute via the Ugg Express website.

Ash Treseder Black Tie Dinner | 5 Jun
Ash is a 32 year old local to Newcastle who was diagnosed a quadriplegic after sustaining a spinal cord injury on January 3, 2019 during an accident in Shoal Bay. Undergoing a rehabilitation process at the Royal Rehab in Sydney, then more rehab in Newcastle, Ash is continuing to push himself and is making great progress. You can follow his journey through his instagram @ashtheflash. An event to raise funds for Ash to reach his new goals which include car modification so he can drive again is being organised and requests for raffle or auction prizes big and small are being requested. Your business will be mentioned and printed on the night of the event. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.
