Get along to Newcastle Fringe's Hamilton Hub | Returning 2024
Calling all theatre lovers, comedy connoisseurs and music fans – Newcastle Fringe is back and bigger than ever in 2024.
Australia's largest regional fringe festival returns for its 9th year, and there's something for everyone in its program of performances. Taking place across two weekends, the festival will see hundreds of local and international artists feature across a range of performing arts.
Hamilton once again becomes the Fringe Hub with a free program of roving street performers, and entertainment at James St Plaza, a Fringe Box Office and home to 3 of the 6 Fringe venues.
Designed to give everyone a taste of what you can expect from the festival, there is something for the whole family to enjoy.
From 12pm - 1pm the Fringe Box Office will be open at James St Plaza, selling tickets and answering all your Fringe questions, there will also be face painting for the kids with Kingdom Kids Face Painting, the Hummingsong choir, Mr Snot Bottom, and the Pretty Amazing Jono returns.
The entertainment kicks off again in the evening, keep your eye out for all the roving performers up and down Beaumont St. James St Plaza is where to be to catch The Pilot Buffalo Teen Band, comedian Kelly Mac, JD's World of Magic, Pretty Amazing Jono returns and The Flaming Jesters Fire Show will take to the stage too. These talented fire performing clowns will light up the night sky with their daring stunts and high-octane thrills. You'll be left in awe as you watch them breathe flames, spin fire and more.
