Over the past eight years, Jay, originally from the south coast, has built Moss Boss Studios to become Newcastle’s premier landscape design and construction business.

“I grew up with creativity in my blood, and a fascination for healthy ecosystems. I’ve always been inspired by the mosses and ferns I grew up with, and over the years I’ve honed my knowledge to bring natural wildness into people’s lives,” Jay said.

The now 9-strong team moved into their very own studio and showroom in Morisset in 2020 and it showcases all of the best things Moss Boss Studios has become known for; creating that jaw-dropping wow factor.

“This space has allowed that to happen as well as having a showroom space. I want to place myself within the higher end of the market, and I think this space is going to allow me to bring people in and really impress them with what Moss Boss can do.

“You’re playing with people’s emotions a bit when you bring them into a space like this. It really showcases what we can do for people. This gives me the creative freedom to really put on display what we’re really capable of. I love the raw, vintage, and antique styles. Which we definitely have created in our showroom.”

Having focussed more so on residential projects all across the state, Moss Boss Studios is expanding more so into the commercial project scene hoping to work with clients to bring their landscape dreams to life.
