Located on Hunter Street, directly opposite Newcastle University, step inside Concrete Gym, and you’ll find a welcoming, supportive atmosphere that exceeds expectations.

Originally opening in 2022, Concrete relaunched in September 2024 under the new management of Jimmy, Margaux, and Simone – three passionate individuals who have completely transformed the space into one of Newcastle’s most inspiring and inclusive gym and wellness communities.

What sets Concrete apart is its people-first culture. The owners are hands-on, and the entire trainer team is genuinely invested in the success and wellbeing of every member.

Whether you're an experienced athlete or stepping into a gym for the first time, the team goes above and beyond to ensure you feel seen, supported, and encouraged every step of the way.

The gym’s weekly timetable features over 100 classes, including signature strength and conditioning sessions, reformer Pilates, yoga, and personal training.

In addition, there is also a fully equipped gym space including cardio and in loaded equipment available 24/7 for added flexibility to members. Concrete strives to provide a holistic approach to members health and fitness, as well provide flexibility to train and recover on their own schedule.

But Concrete isn’t just about pushing limits. It’s about recovery, balance, and community. Their second-floor wellness centre invites members to explore contrast therapy – alternating hot and cold immersion to revitalise the body and mind. The space features custom-built ice baths, infrared light therapy saunas, and a standout Finnish-designed sauna.

The relaunch didn’t just bring state-of-the-art upgrades – it sparked a renewed commitment to inclusivity and care. From day one, the Concrete team has made it clear: everyone belongs here.
