Since opening in September 2021 Modus Merewether have been delivering an elevated drinking and dining experience in the beachside suburb of Merewether.
Originally launching on the Northern Beaches of Sydney, the story of Modus is one of grit and determination and a whole lot of love for craft beer by owners Jaz and Grant Wearin. Now you can learn not only how it started, but just how far they've come on the Modus Merewether Brewery Tour.
The one hour guided tour of Modus’ state-of-the-art malty brewhouse has you weaving your way through the bubbling tanks, the lofty warehouse with towering stacks of cans and the packaging line where fresh beer is ready for the tasting.
Along the way you’ll be stepped through the different craft brewing methods, why the carefully selected high quality ingredients are chosen, how the beer is packaged and what’s required to produce a fresh schooner of Modus.
And of course the chance to taste local, fresh Modus beer!
Proudly independent, the inspiring story of Jaz and Grant's craft beer journey is shared starting from the early days brewing in the Northern Beaches, to their family ties in Newcastle which saw them establish one of Australia’s most impressive brew houses in the heart of Merewether.
Whether it’s a team building exercise, a gift idea, or you’re just looking to do something a bit different, you now have the chance to go behind-the-scenes at one of Australia's most awarded breweries.
Modus Merwether Brewery Tour
Details: The tours are approximately 60 minutes and ends with a tasting paddle of beer that has been freshly kegged off.
Scheduled Tour Times: 3pm Saturdays
