The Lambton Park Hotel is excited to announce that it is under new management, with John Elsley and Lukas Thodas taking over the venue in late July. Having both grown up in the area, new owners John and Lukas have grand plans for the Lambton stalwart to make it into a true family venue.

A well-known figure in the Newcastle hospitality scene, John Elsley is excited by the latest addition to the portfolio.

“We are very proud about the fact that all our venues are pokie free, and given the location of the Lambton Park Hotel, it makes sense that this venue moves towards being more family orientated.

“The gaming area is already gone, with a function space to go in its place, and we have revised the food and drinks menus. They are only small changes initially, we really want to get a feel for the community first, and then make updates based on the feedback we get,” John said.

The new managers are committed to providing an exceptional experience for all patrons and are excited to welcome new and regular visitors to the hotel.

“John has a wealth of experience in running venues that deliver a great experience all round. Great food, and quality drinks will be a drawcard for many, and we’ll look at adding entertainment and a few other goodies down the track,” Lukas said.

Dating back 140 years, the Lambton Park Hotel is one the oldest establishments in Newcastle – we can’t wait to see what the team has in store for this hospitality institution.
