Round of applause to Brokenwood Wines who recently took out the Wine of the Year at The 2021 Halliday Wine Companion Awards.

This award winning shiraz was released to the public on November 1 - which coincided with Brokenwood’s 50 year anniversary. Tastings of the $350 bottle of wine are available at the Brokenwood cellar door for $23 for 50ml.

The Halliday Wine Companion Awards are well renowned in the wine industry. Some say they are the industry benchmark for Australian Wines, with the Wine of the Year being one of the hottest prizes.

The expert panel reviewed over 9,000 wines to find the best of the crop this year and announced the Brokenwood 2018 Graveyard Vineyard Shiraz as the Wine of the Year.

The Graveyard Shiraz is only produced when the conditions are right, and even then, just in small amounts, so if you want to get your hands on a bottle you better get in quick.
