Cedars Mount View

Wine Country’s romantic mountain escape for two

Here, amid the all the tranquility, scenery and luxury, romance is a given.

Valentines Day may have just passed but you don’t need to date on the calendar to inject a bit of romance into your life.  Why not book an escape-for-two to one of the most romantic stays in the Hunter, just because?  With stunning valley views, the secluded villas of Cedars Mount View are that escape. Here, amid the all the tranquility, scenery and luxury, romance is a given!

To paint a picture, Cedars, located in the picturesque and somewhat hidden wine pocket of Mount View, is an oasis of green.  Specifically, its 94-acres of lush mountain valley that houses four very private and beautifully appointed self-contained spa villas.

And let me tell you, these villas are pretty special.  Each featuring a two-person spa bath, cosy fire place and expansive views to the mountains via spacious wooden decks.  It goes without saying that this place is an Adults-Only type of property.

Christelle and Gilbert, the hosts of Cedars, know how to go the extra mile in the romance stakes too, offering an array of little add-ons for that wow factor.  I’m talking rose petals on the bed, spa bath goodies and Champagne on arrival.

You can even order ahead cheese/antipasto and specialty chocolate/dessert platters to enjoy during your stay.  If you feel like something a little heartier, request a BBQ hamper, prepared lovingly by the Wollombi Road Providore or your own private chef who’ll happily serve up 5-7 courses in your room.

Of course, no stay at Cedars would be complete without a picnic.  And, the perfect spot to enjoy one just happens to be right on the property, down by the idyllic spring-fed Cedar Creek which winds through the valley.  Honestly this place is next level.

With such lovely views, in-room grazing and dining options and the beautiful property to explore, you’d be within your right mind to shut out the world and chill here for the entire weekend.  And you pretty much could or in the very least, explore the delights of Mount View which include some lovely boutique wineries and chefs hatted French restaurant, Bistro Molines.
