We would like to thank the City of Newcastle for coming on board as a major supporting partner of Bar Awards in 2024. 

In 2023, Bar Awards was one of the 15 successful applicants of the Special Business Rates (SBR) program. Over $900,000 in funding was made available in 2023 for projects which have the purpose of developing businesses in Newcastle's city centre or Darby Street.

Collected from businesses in Newcastle City Centre, Darby Street, Hamilton, Mayfield, New Lambton, and Wallsend, the funds are reserved exclusively for the promotion, beautification, and development of these business precincts. 

Without City of Newcastle’s support, Bar Awards, along with many of the other events that take place throughout Newcastle, would not be possible. We look forward to bringing them to life on Monday, August 5.
