HUNTERhunter is on the lookout for foodie writers and content creators to help us launch a brand-new content series.

Do you want to be a part of our foodie news team?  

With Newcastle and the Hunter region exploding with foodie venues of all shapes and sizes, we're struggling to cover them all, and we're looking to switch things up with our we present this content. 

The Role

Do you have a knack for the written word, do you love to eat and dine out? Are you also handy with your phone? This new series will capture your dining experience in a candid, authentic format through short written features, photography, and video content.

This is a role for someone who loves dining out, has a knack for storytelling, and knows how to capture authentic moments on an iPhone.

What You’ll Do

→  Visit a pre-determined venue for dinner (restaurant, bar, or cafe).
→  Capture candid photography on your iPhone. (Min of 10 images)
→  Shoot short-form video content on your iPhone. (min of 5 videos - 10 secs per video)
→  Write a 250–300 word article covering:

•  What you ate
•  The vibe and atmosphere
•  Food and drink highlights
•  Price guide ($, $$, $$$)
•  Other helpful details for readers

→  Upload all content via Dropbox.
→  Meet agreed deadlines for submission.
→  HUNTERhunter will provide editing support and publish articles under the new series.

Who You Are

→  A passionate foodie who enjoys casual dining experiences
→  Confident writing short, engaging, and descriptive content.
→  Comfortable taking photos and videos on an iPhone.
→  Organised and able to meet deadlines.
→  Someone with an eye for detail who can capture the feel of a place.
