Saltwater Restaurant Fingal Bay

Modern Australian cuisine with an Asian twist

Less than 10 minutes from Nelson Bay, Saltwater is perched atop the Surf Life Saving Club overlooking Fingal Beach

Opening their doors to the locals of Port Stephens in late 2017, Saltwater has been serving up fresh, modern Australian cuisine with an Asian twist.

Sitting atop the Fingal Bay Surf Life Saving Club, and looking out over the beach, this truly is the perfect spot for an afternoon drink, a delicious dinner or even a memorable function.

Operators David Pollard and Kylie Phillips have over 40 years of experience in restaurants and hotels between them, making Saltwater a favourite for both locals and tourists alike.

“We aim to offer something for everyone – from a quick bite to eat, to a romantic evening for two. But most importantly, we’re focussed on serving quality fresh food that is affordable and tastes great.”

After an afternoon drink with friends? Pick and indulge from their share plates; dips & dukkha, oysters, arancini cob loaf or crispy chicken wings. We’ll take one of each, please!

Or are you wanting to sit down to a family meal? Saltwater’s main menu is full of Australian classics but with flavours that pack a punch. We ordered the Nasi Goreng & Spaghettini, and they sure did hit the spot.

Saltwater at Fingal Bay is not just adults only, with your typical kid’s menu and desserts that even us kids at heart will be drooling over.

Next time you’re visiting Port Stephens, add Saltwater to your list of places to pop into.
