We’ve always been huge fans of the concept that Neal and Shellie have brought to the Islington strip, and we’re loving their latest addition.
Just because they like to keep things interesting this multi-tasking and talented duo, with little Rhall in toe these days, have taken their ethical ethos to the next level, expanding their selection of consciously produced clothes, homewares, and food to include plants, seeds, and succulents.
Always looking to fill every inch of their cozy little space, the couple have expanded into their courtyard to bring a little patch of green to gritty old Islington. Abundant with an ever-changing selection of organically raised food plants, seedlings and succulents, the courtyard is a little oasis for anyone wishing to "grow their own".
The success of the pantry space they added a few years back has led them to expand their range of plastic free and reusable products. KeepCups, plastic-free garbage bags, Onya reusable produce bags, stainless steel bento boxes and the ever-popular Klean Kanteen make reducing your waste footprint easy.
The Pantry is, of course, still stocked with all those things you need and quite a few things that you didn't know you needed, like the Vegan cheeses, Flying Fox ice blocks, and chocolate, all the chocolate, all ethically and organically produced.
At the front of the store you'll still find Yardsale's eclectic range of handpicked quality items for you, the home and the garden.
Yardsale Trading Co stocks a mix of very ethically minded labels like Australian Brands Leonard St Clothing and Vege Threads, and from overseas labels like Patagonia, and Kowtow. They haven't forgotten the little ones with a range of kids items on the shelves, including the very cutesy DUNS of Sweden Kids.
Whilst browsing the shelves be on the lookout for beautiful locally handcrafted ceramics, an inspiring range of books, Funkis clogs, heirloom seeds for the garden, Opinel Knives, Pendleton Blankets, Stance Socks, Uppercut, Klean Kanteen and Fjall Raven backpacks.
