A blind wine tasting night at The Press

The Press Book House is inviting wine lovers to trust their palate at its next Wine Club Night, Chapter 5: Beyond the Label.

On Thursday, 9 July and Friday, 10 July, Wine Night at The Press Book House will explore Australian wines through a relaxed partly blind tasting experience.

Chapter 5: Beyond the Label is all about stepping past the label and letting your senses do the work.

Held at The Press Book House in Newcastle, this interactive Wine Club Night will guide guests through a selection of wines from around Australia in a partly blind tasting format.

As each mystery wine is poured, guests will be invited to guess the variety, region, or style, with helpful clues shared along the way before the big reveal.

Once each wine is unveiled, the group will explore the story behind the bottle, unpack the clues hidden in the glass, and chat through how perception can influence what we taste.

Whether you’re a seasoned wine lover or simply curious to learn more, the evening promises plenty of surprises, lively discussion, and a few “I didn’t see that coming” moments.

Tickets are $70 per person and include a grazing board by Binnorie Dairy.
