Three wedding fairs bringing inspo to Newcastle, Hunter Valley, and Lake Mac

Planning a wedding can feel like a whirlwind of Pinterest boards, vendor emails, and endless decision making, but the Wedding Fairs Series Six is here to make the process far more enjoyable.

Returning in 2026, the much-loved event series from Hunter Events Group is headed to Lake Macquarie, giving couples the chance to connect with local vendors, gather inspiration, and start to lock in some plans for their big day.

Launching at Newcastle City Hall on April 12, the fair moved to Mercure Hunter Valley on May 31, before wrapping up at Caves Coastal Bar & Bungalows on Sunday, August 9.

The event runs from 11am to 2pm, offering couples a relaxed but productive few hours of wedding discovery.

The fair will give couples the opportunity to meet a wide range of local wedding professionals including photographers, florists, celebrants, stylists, venues, entertainment providers and more. Rather than spending months searching online, attend one of the events to chat face-to-face, compare options, and uncover services you may not have even considered yet.

For couples early in their planning journey, the fair is packed with ideas and inspiration to help shape your vision. If your wedding day is already on the horizon, it’s the perfect chance to lock in those final vendors, discover emerging trends and take advantage of exclusive offers available only at the event.

Each fair will also feature interactive experiences and entertainment, including flower workshops and other special features unique to each location.

And of course, there are prizes. Every adult ticket holder is automatically entered into the Wedding Prize Draw, with more than $3,000 worth of prizes up for grabs at each event. Just hold onto your ticket and be present when the draw takes place for your chance to win.

Tickets are $5 online ($10 at the door) with free entry for under 18s, making it an affordable and inspiring day out for couples and their planning crew.
