The politically satirical comedian Nazeem Hussain is coming to Newcastle

Tackling topics like race and cultural stereotypes, Nazeem Hussain is retransforming Australian comedy and turning the tables on these often tense topics.

Following his sold out 2025 run, the comedian makes his way to Newcastle with a fresh set of material with his tour "I'd Like To Tell You About Some Jokes".

Recognisable for his sketch work on 'Orange is the New Brown’ or Netflix special ‘Public Frenemy’, Nazeem Hussain does not shy away from anything. Telling personal tales of his experience with racism and Islamophobia in Australia, he turns the jokes on his aggressors, highlighting the "absurdity of racial perceptions", all while the audience is stitched with laughter.

"The jokes that I'm doing are a great way to connect your head and your heart."

Often punching up, Hussain is known for his character comedy to parody racist attitudes.

Featuring alongside Urzila Carlson on ABC’s newest show 'Separated at Birth’, and genre bending show ‘The Role of a Lifetime’ with Kate Ritchie, Nazeem Hussain's comedic style could not be closer to the saying "if you don’t laugh you'll cry".
