A hedonistic French lunch for winter solstice is coming to Bistro Penny

Bistro Penny is leaning into the shortest day of the year with a long lunch made for winter indulgence.

On Sunday, 21 June, Bistro Penny will host its Winter Solstice Long Lunch with a decadent set menu of winter classics and optional matching wines.

Newcastle’s French-inspired bistro, Bistro Penny, is hosting a Winter Solstice Long Lunch designed to celebrate the most indulgent parts of the season.

The Bolton Street restaurant, led by celebrated chef Joel Humphreys, combines classic French bistro charm with the dynamic flavours of woodfire cooking. For this special event, the team will bring that same fire-driven approach to a hedonistic long lunch on the shortest day of the year.

Guests can expect a decadent $130 per person set menu filled with winter classics, with the option to add a $120 wine pairing featuring matching wines from alpine wine regions.

It’s the kind of lunch made for settling in, taking your time, and embracing a little mid-winter indulgence in one of Newcastle’s most character-filled dining rooms.
