Easter Sunday Family Fun Day | 1st April

Avengers Superhero Red Carpet | 26th April 
Where: Crown Street, opposite Newcastle Tower Cinemas
What: A superhero themed red carpet event to mark the opening night of Avengers: Infinity War.Be entertained with live music, free finger food by The Lucky Hotel and Lulus Cafe Newcastle, face painting, and photo and gif booths.


The event runs from 5pm, for a 7:30pm screening.

Solvent Free Paint | 28th April
Where: Hudson Street Hum, 10am
What: The workshop covers a solvent free painting technique attributed to some of the greatest masters. The materials used, have been discovered in the paintings of the Van Eyck brothers, Rubens, Rembrandt and Velasquez, just to name a few.

Rock to Block 2 | 28th April
Where: The Croatian Club, Wickham
What: Newcastle Climate Justice Uprising are putting on a second Rock to Block to raise funds for people on the frontline of the continuing Adani movement. Help support the Wangan and Jagalingou people in their fight to secure water in the Queensland region. Rock to Block also want to raise money for FLAC (Frontline Action on Coal) who are doing an amazing job on the frontline in QLD.

Live bands, hula hooping, market stalls, live art, painting & mexican food all arvo and well into the evening.

Commotion In The Ocean | 29th April
Where: Caves Beach, 7.30am
What: Just south of Newcastle, Caves Beach is the perfect spot for an ocean swim. The 1.5km swim starts at Spoon Rocks and heading North to finish at Caves Beach.

What: The photographic exhibition is a collection of portraits, seascapes and stories documenting the regular early morning swimmers of Newcastle’s iconic Merewether Ocean Baths. Exhibition ends 17th April.
